Brothers in arms is heading for the Wii… But there’s double the fun! August 20, 2007 @ 13:39 - Elliott Those who are fans of the “Brothers in Arms” franchise will be pleased to hear that it is soon making its way to the Wii; however, it is not a new game. Brothers in Arms: Double time is actually an amalgamation of two previous games, Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood, which have never featured on a Nintendo console before, and will obviously make good use of the Wii Remote to give tactical demands and also as a first person shooter. For those not familiar with the series, the game tells a true story based around the time of the D-day landings and the 101 paratroopers leading the assaults, action packed to say the least. Brothers in Arms is the third game that Demiurge Studios and Gearbox Software have worked together on, and Randy Pitchfork gave this statement regarding the team up: "Demiurge helped Gearbox add features and quality to the multiplayer portion of the Unreal Engine based Brothers in Arms games for Xbox 1. Working with them was so great that we're excited about collaborating with them again for future, next-generation games. If they say they can do it, Demiurge can get it done - it's only a matter of time before Demiurge is discovered by a major publisher." Double Time is apparently being “Built for the Wii gamer, not the guy on the Xbox.” So hopefully we’ll be seeing some innovative game play changes. The game is headed for US shores on October 16, Australia October 18, and Europe October 19. Source: Aussie-Nintendo Digg: Grep: |
